Do you like these pictures of me?

Darragh's Dad is a soldier in the Irish army and he told us all about what he does. We set up a tent and got to sleep in it.

The fire brigade came to school today and told us all about fire and how dangerous it is. They showed us how they would put out a fire.

Adam's Dad and Mum came into school and told us all about Uganda. We had great fun dancing to the beat of the African drums.

Fergie In Ireland

Hi Everybody, I am having so much fun with all my new friends in Cloghroe school. We had a fun day where we did orienteering, hula hoops, soccer, parachute and lots of other things.

Then we had a lovely picnic.

Hi Everybody,

I am so excited because today is my first day in Cloghroe National School in Cork, Ireland. I went to visit Mrs. Curtin’s class where I met all the boys and girls there. We chatted and played together. Then they wrote about me and drew pictures. Here are some of my favourite ones.

Tuesday 3rd March: Can you believe that I made some more new friends, Jackie and Joe?

They came to visit the children in Cloghroe school with Grafitti Theatre. They told us all about being nice to each other and how to share. Sometimes they would argue!!!But we helped them to be friends again.

Being here in Cloghroe school is soooo much fun!!!!! . Bye for now. Your friend Woezel

Parachute fun on a sunny day in Cloghroe School

Lights, camera, action!

West Midlands theatre group visited Cloghroe National
School today. It was so much fun! The story was
called “The Firebird” and it was set in Russia. The
magic firebird helped Prince Evan save the day with
 his amazing feathers.

Some boys and girls even had the opportunity to

perform on stage with the actors!

Here is a picture of me with girls in 3rd class and some

 of the actors.

Fota Wildlife Park

We went on a school trip to Fota Wildlife park on Thursday 22nd of May. It was so much fun. We saw lots and lots of animals, cheetahs, kangaroos, penguins, giraffes, bison, flamingos, even a boa constrictor. It was great when we went on a bug hunt in the woods. We explored their habitat and found many different insects and creepy crawlies. We made sure we did not harm any of them. We all enjoyed our picnic lunch and playing in the playground. I was so tired that I fell asleep on the bus on the way home….

Mother's Day

Look at all the lovely bunches of flowers that the boys and girls in Mrs. Curtin’s class made for Mother’s Day, which was Sunday 30th March. We learnt a lovely Mother’s Day song too, all about making breakfast in bed for Mum. And the children gave their  mums  two vouchers, one for a big hug and one for an undisturbed nap. Can you see me in the middle of the picture? I feel like I am in a beautiful flower garden……

Hey everybody!
I have had such a fantastic day today! I have been very busy recently, learning several new songs, poems and dances. I am going to perform in “Cór Fheile na Scol” in Cork with the boys and girls in 1st class. Cór Fheile is a big concert held in the city hall in Cork.

We are singing several songs about love and marriage. All the boys and girls dressed up and really look like they are going to a wedding!

I recorded the boys and girls singing “We go together” from the musical
Grease. I was holding the video camera; can you hear me singing along?

Hello boys and girls!
I am having a wonderful time in Cloghroe National School. Today was particularly exciting. Cloghroe held a “green day” to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day.
St. Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland.

The day began with over 500 pupils walking to school dressed in green. This was a really fun way to raise awareness for the schools “Green Schools” project. The Green Schools committee are trying to encourage more pupils to walk to school to help the environment.

In the afternoon, the school held a “ceilí mór” in the school playground…..(That means a big Irish dance in the Irish language!) It was so much fun. I even danced with a cailín alainn…. (That means a lovely girl!)

The boys and girls were very good dancers. I was very impressed.

After that, I helped the Green Schools Committee plant a tree. The boys and girls in Cloghroe are constantly trying to take care of our environment.

Finally I visited every classroom in Cloghroe N.S and helped the teachers give prizes for the “bested dressed leprechauns”. It was a difficult job. Everyone looked fantastic!

My favourite part of the day was meeting this little boy. His name is David. He gave me the best cuddles! I will write to you all soon. Happy St.Patrick’s Day! Slán!

Fergie is learning how to cook in Belgium

Fergie's visit in Belgium (Antwerp)

Hello Friends!

Saturday I took the airplane to Manchester, together with some new friends: the director and some teachers from Belgium. I had a nice stay in their school.
Take a look at the pictures to see my adventures!
